The federal government’s website Healthcare.gov offers a number of resources specific to the changes in the Affordable Care Act. The Act has provisions that are intended to strengthen Medicare, reduce fraud, and close the gap in Medicare prescription drug coverage known as the “donut hole.” The Affordable Care Act takes a number of steps that should improve health care for people with Medicare.
